Withdrawing the carry fees can be done according to the settings you determine for your DAO. The percentage of carry, the periods when the process is done - all of that is manually assigned, but needs to be the same for all of your DAO community members (unless there are specific contract details for certain or each member).

IMPORTANT: Make sure that your Frame Wallet has you DAO connected to it.

The process of Carry withdrawal is divided into three stages.

Stage 1 - MyCrypto Processing

Step 0 - Collect information on your DAO from Aragon Framework.

There are several details needed to proceed, with the main one being the vault address for your DAO. The address is accesible through Aragon >> Organization >> Vault (Contract-only). The "Organization" button is located on the left side-panel.

Copy the address to proceed.

Step 1 - Authorize to the system.

Please note that the "Frame" button will not be visible unless you have the Frame Extension installed for your browser.

Step 2 - Initialize the carry sending procedure

Navigate to "Send Assets" (accessible via the side-panel on the left). Select DAI as the asset for carry withdrawal and paste the copied previously vault address to the "Recipient" field.

Step 3 - Details checking and confirmation

Double check the details displayed before confirming the transaction. If everything is correct - press "Confirm and Send" button.

Step 4 - Signing and voting

Stage 2 - Assigning the reward fees

Step 1 - Creating a reward payment transaction

Navigate to the "Rewards" section of Aragon Framework. Press the "New Reward" button.

Step 2 - Set the reward details

The details entered are usually set as following (for more logical display at the list) but are not mandatory:

  • Description - Reward Distribution

  • Reference Token - GT Token (The name varies according to the one you set for your DAO)

  • Type - One-time Dividend

  • Total Amount - The amount to be distributed (set the asset to the one that has enough liquidity, USDT as an example)

  • Reference Date - Set the payment date

Step 3 - Signing and voting

Stage 3 - Receiving the fees

Step 1 - Rewards Section of Aragon Framework

Navigate to the "Rewards" section of Aragon Framework and select the "My Rewards" tab.

Step 2 - Locate the needed payment

Find the correct line in the list of rewards listed (if this is not the first carry withdrawal), press the "three dots" at the right side of the line and select "Claim"

Step 3 - Transaction signing

Sign the transaction via your Frame Wallet. No voting needed for the process.

Navigate to and authorize to the system via the Frame Wallet

Proceed with the transaction signatures and voting as described in the .
